Basic-coated electrode for overlays on parts subject to great impact at high temperatures. The weld deposit is scale-, thermoshock- and wear resistant at high temperatures. Service life can excellently increased in case of forging tools to form high temperature material and hot cutting tools.

As Al and Ti have good dispersion properties at high temperatures. service life of this alloy is longer than can usually be achieved with Co-based alloys.

Suitable for following base materials:
hot-work steels like material – no. 1.2714 annealed to 900 – 1050 N/mm2

At 500 ºC
T: 800 – 850 N/mm²

Y: 730 – 750 N/mm²

For hardfacing with satisfactory gliding properties (metal-metal) and resistance to corrison, according to the application of Metadur 6 U, Not for use in connection with hydrochloric acid. The weld metal has good tempering properties so after thermal cycling the hardness is as good as before. H: 40 HRC
