Used as buffer electrode when surfacing is carried out with electrodes showing higher abrasion resistance. Examples: buffer layer-rebuilding of worn parts such as rollers, wheels and guides encountered in the earth movig field.

Rutile – basic coated electrode for overlays on machine parts with high impact load. subject to abrasion.

The weld metal of E 580 is tough, hard and abrsion proof, hardfacing on strucctural steel, cast steel and austenitic magneese steel. The weld metal is non porous and free from cracks. It can be used for multiple layer hardfacing. Typical examples: Dredger teeth, crusher jaws, crushing heads, impact strips, crushing rings and guides.

Very thick coated electrode for high wear resistant overlays. Slag does not cover the weld deposit.

Applications are constructional and machine parts, that are subject to heavy abrasion and moderate impacts .e.g. mixer parts and sand blasting equipment, descaling units etc.

Metadur 60 V DIN 8555:
E 10 – UM – 60 – Z

A hardfacing electrode, developed on a chrome-carbide basis for abrasive wear and medium impact stressing, e.g by ores, coal gravels sand, for overlaying on excavator teeth, wear strips, screw conyeyors etc. Also useable for guideways, valve ends and machine parts to operating temperature up to 200 ºC.

The clear weld pool permits better bead build up, so that post weld machining is not necessary, Easy slag removal.

It is an extra hard surfacing electrode for wear resistant overlays which are subject to extremely severe abrasion by sand gravel, ore, coal, cement or slag.

Very thick coated electrode for high wear resistant overlays which are subject to abrasion. Therefore it is suitable for hardfacing in crushing plants, scraping leaks for the zinc industry, blast furnace hinging equipment and palm nut press screws. In case of more than 3layers the bottom layers should be welded with E 350Kb.
